Ps 31:24 (Clear Word): “So be courageous for Yahweh and He will strengthen you; take heart, all of you who place your hope in Him.” Heb 11:1, 2 (Clear Word): “To have faith means to be confident of the things we hope for and to be certain of the things we can’t see. Faith is not our ability to hold on to Elohim, but His ability to hold on to us…” Acts 2:17 (The Message): “In the Last Days, Elohim says I will pour out my Spirit on every kind of people: your sons will prophesy, also our daughters; your young men will see visions, your old men dream dreams. When the time comes, I’ll pour out my Spirit on those who serve me, men and women both and they’ll prophesy.” In 2015 Yahweh gave me a vision of a plan that he wanted me to see that it was executed. An event was to be held in the city of Poughkeepsie and it had to involve all the local churches with us working in  collaboration in order to evangelize the Hudson Valley. He laid out many of the details: Speaker, Chaplain Barry Black – The first order of business was to secure Chaplain Black. Since he is a personal friend but has someone who handles his calendar; I followed protocol. I started speaking to Suzanne Chapuis, Chaplain  Black’s scheduler, in the Fall of 2015 and she returned my email March 4, 2016 stating that there were no  available dates in 2016 but July 14-16, 2017 was available. I took the dates.  Venue: Mid-Hudson Civic Center (capacity of 3,050), contact person, Ronite Fitoussi.  I immediately started calling to secure the date after  many back and forth calls the date was eventually penciled in.  In February of 2017, the General Contract  was received. Music: David and Marian Lewis were to be contacted for Divine Worship on July 15. The  appeal song would be “Come Home”.  After making several calls (I can be a pest) I decided to send a text and Marian returned my text on December 8 and confirmed on March 5, 2017. Theme: “Health & Wealth”.  When I say that to whomever I’m speaking to they understand quickly what is to be accomplished. Optical: In December of 2016 Reginald and Alan Sampson who live on the West Coast were contacted to give back to the community in which they grew up. They agreed to participate.  Baptism: The private and public  expression of your love for Elohim. A baptistry must be provided. I was involved in community service for approximately 7 years and have a very faithful group of 3 – Pat Malin, Charles and Diane Brodhead. I spoke to several other persons from different churches who were excited to be included in the planning.  September 2016 we had our first official meeting to plan for the event. In the interim, I learned that the  Newburgh church on Gidney Avenue had successfully conducted a similar program. That was confirmation to me that it could be done. I contacted the members involved. After several meetings we decided that we  should give ourselves a name: “Hudson Valley Laymen’s Community Ministries” was the name chosen. A  group ready to be moved by the Holy Spirit (Ruach Qodesh) through the grace of Yahshua to accomplish the goal of saving souls. We also decided that the first event would be in Poughkeepsie and then each year after another area would be chosen for evangelism. One thing was clear to all , that we needed to come together “for such a time as this”.  We’d like all the churches in the Hudson Valley to be on FIRE for this project and any others that are about saving souls. We fast a half day on Fridays and pray in our respective places. It has not been an easy battle but we recognize that the “battle is not ours but Yahweh’s.” We are interested in  reaching the unchurched and homeless population. We are offering, FREE to the Public, many activities that we have prayed about and believe will be beneficial to all. My Motivation, 2 Cor 9:8-14 (Clear Word): “He is able to give you back more than you need, either  materially, spiritually or both, so that you will have enough of everything and may abundantly support every good work. As the scriptures say, He who gives generously and helps those in need, his right doing never  ends. The One who made seed for the sower is the same One who makes the seed grow so we can eat. He also is the One who will multiply your benevolence and increase the harvest of your kindness. He will  continue to bless you so you can continue to bless others. And your generosity will cause many others to  give thanks to Elohim. Your donation will not only help our brothers and sisters who are poor, but will also produce a grateful spirit in others. And Elohim will be glorified by your ministry. Your gift is evidence of your love for your brothers and sisters, and is also evidence of your obedience to the gospel of Christ and of the oneness you have with all your fellow-believers (and really toward everyone (Message).” “Do you remember that time Elijah was agonizing over this same Israel and cried out in prayer? Elohim, they murdered your prophets, they trashed your altars; I’m the only one left and now they’re after me! And do you remember Elohim’s answer? I still have seven thousand who haven’t quit, seven thousand who are loyal to the finish. It’s the same today. There’s a fiercely loyal minority still—not many, perhaps, but probably  more than you think. They’re holding on, not because of what they think they’re going to get out of it, but because they’re convinced of Elohim’s grace and purpose in choosing them. If they were only thinking of  their own immediate self-interest, they would have left long ago.” Romans 11:2-6 (The Message).  We believe that many will “Come Home” as David and Marian sing.

Hearing about the Health Evangelism  Expo , July 14-16, I a medical Missionary was excited about what God has commissioned in the Hudson Valley. I was shone in a dream that Yahweh wanted US TO DO something in Health in the HUDSON VALLEY.

Diane Brodhead

I am so blessed to have been asked to be a part of planning this unprecedented event for Jesus in our Poughkeepsie area.  The commitment of other people from our sister churches in the Hudson Valley area has encouraged and inspired me and I look forward to supporting the same type of outreach in their areas in the future.  The gifts and talents bestowed upon each of us by God has equipped us to move together as a mighty, united army on the battlefield for our Lord and Savior. We will have the privilege of sharing the love of God with many unchurched as well as perhaps just as importantly, caring for some of the needs of our poorer neighbors by feeding the hungry and homeless, providing much needed dental and eye care freely, giving assistance in obtaining health insurance to those who have none, offering free haircuts and so much more.  To me, offering hope to all via physical, emotional and spiritual venues will help me to obey the command of “Go Ye” we have all been admonished to obey in Matthew 28:19, 20.  Our purpose for being created is to live with Jesus eternally and share this same opportunity with others.  I dream of us all working together to accomplish this grand outreach vision that God has placed on our hearts.  Please, choose to become a part of this last day event that you may never again have the honor of becoming a part of.  We are seeking your physical participation and presence, financial support from our churches but individual sacrificing too and of course your prayers.  By the precious Holy Spirit may we all be led to action before He returns and it is too late.  Diane Brodhead
